The doctor is operating his practice as normal as the Medical Association of Magnesia, for reasons that have not been explained, has not removed the operating badge that it grants
At the Supreme Disciplinary Council of the Panhellenic Medical Association yesterday, in the presence of his two lawyers, the anti-vaccination physician from Volos for which the Disciplinary Committee of the Medical Association of Magnesia proceeded to remove the license to practice the medical profession for life.
But the doctor himself his clinic is operating normally as the Medical Association of Magnesia, for reasons that have not been explained, has not removed the operating badge that it grants.
Two months after the decision to delete him, the doctor continues to hold his license and be registered in the association’s registers, while he has not yet been “cleaned up” and notified to the Medical Association of Magnesia of a previous conviction against him by the Supreme Disciplinary Body Panhellenic Medical Association (APSI).
According to what became known, witnesses at yesterday’s hearing of the case from the Supreme Disciplinary, were two relatives of a victim of the anti-vaccination doctor, who had forbidden the transfer of the patient to the Hospital, the former president of the medical association, Mr. Tsamis, and the current president, Mr. Venetis.
The relatives of the victim who received the advice of the anti-vaccination doctor they described everything they experienced from the day the woman was “hit” by coronavirus, until her death, and Mr. Tsamis testified about everything that happened during his tenure with the reception of patient complaints, which came from Volos to Crete. Mr. Venetis was not appointed as, as he said, according to information, he became aware of the case as soon as he took office.
“We were dying and he was making fun of us” the husband of the woman who lost her life is reported to have said and his son’s testimony was on the same wavelength.
All the statements were made in the presence of the anti-vaccination doctor, while he himself apologized without the presence of the others, only his lawyers.
According to citizen complaints which were examined yesterday by the Disciplinary and are included in a file of hundreds of pages, the private pathologist granted cocktail of antibiotics, vitamins and aspirin to patients who were seriously ill with coronavirus, while telling them that if they go to the hospital they will die.
He himself performed very often home visits to give his advice, while he also maintained an online show with strongly anti-vaccination content. His action had even reached Crete. In this particular case, his telephone advice caused, according to a woman’s complaint both to the Medical Association of Magnesia and to the public prosecutor’s office of Crete, the death of her mother.
It is noted that alongside the decisions of the Medical Association of Magnesia and the decisions of APSI, a judicial investigation is also “running”, to which the Medical Association of Magnesia has contributed material. If the Supreme Disciplinary does not “run” the procedures for issuing a decision after yesterday’s examination, the case can “train” until the summer.
