They are increasing complaints of violence and assaults on minors, in Patras as another incident became known and concerns an 11-year-old who was punched by other minors.

According to grandmother tth child, the attack happened by underage Roma children: “My grandson went to the super market with 5 euros on him, to buy some items. Outside the shop were three Roma, two small and one older. They challenged him with a question, my grandson sped up and tried to leave, to get in quickly, but unfortunately he didn’t make it. He was punched in the back, luckily he didn’t fall down and at the last moment – before the attack continued – he went inside. Terrified, he called his grandfather, we talked to the Police, but unfortunately no one showed up! In fact, my husband came downstairs, half an hour after the incident, and the three Roma minors were sitting in the same place, as if nothing had happened! He approached them and in a wild tone asked about the attack on my grandson and then they ran away. My grandson today is afraid even to go to school. He is a 5th grade student. He went with an escort, even if it’s close to our house.”

The attacks are endless as, in addition to the elderly, young children are also targeted, even those playing in squares, such as in Psilalonia or Georgiou.
