This Saturday, the 13th, World Cocktail Day is celebrated. According to the specialized publication Difford’s Guide, it was on that date, in 1806, that a New York newspaper published the first known definition of the word cocktail.
Five days later, on May 18, another Cocktail Day is celebrated — an event created in 2016 by associations of beverage companies and bartenders in Portugal and which was incorporated by Brazilians, since there is no official date on the calendar.
In the capital of São Paulo, the mission to enjoy the week without weighing so much on your pocket is not easy. A quick look at bar charts shows drinks that reach R$130 a glass.
But it is possible to drink well without spending so much and find drinks for up to R$ 25, among authorial and classic recipes. Discover ten options below.

The bar offers three drinks for R$24 a glass. Colibri is prepared with rum, orgeat —almond-based syrup—, ginger, orange and lemon. Campari tonic has Campari, tonic and orange, and gin and tonic combines Sicilian lemon.
