The environmental and educational work of the non-profit organization We4all is supported by PPC, supporting actions of tree planting, reforestation and education of students on environmental issues, with the active participation of the company’s employees.
We4all is a global non-profit, environmental and humanitarian organization, focused on environmental actions and educations as well as supporting vulnerable communities. It started in Greece with a mission “to help the Earth heal and to remind people that this planet is our home”.
As part of the collaboration, We4all and PPC have already implemented actions throughout Greece. In Varybompi, tree planting was carried out in a part of a burned area, in collaboration with the Municipality of Acharna, while in the tree planting that took place in the Community of Petrano in the Municipality of Kozani, students from the Primary School and Kindergarten of the local community also participated. PPC employees also participated in the tree planting.
In northern Evia, as part of the reforestation and population education program in areas affected by disasters, PPC and We4all took care of the planting of 2,500 olive trees, which will effectively help farmers affected by the fires. The reforestation is part of the general strategic framework of support for the regions of northern Evia, which were affected by the devastating fires, implemented by PPC.
Investing in the dynamics and action of tomorrow’s active citizens, PPC also supports We4all’s “Green Future” sustainability awareness education program through which information programs were implemented in primary schools. The children came into contact with terms such as environment, climate change, recycling, and volunteering and learned that the concepts of responsible citizenship and respect for the environment are complementary.
The CEO and Co-Founder of We4all, Yannis Iliopoulos, said: “Our collaboration with PPC is one of the most important alliances of the year we are going through, having a holistic approach that not only promotes the environment and sustainability but also touches on social and educational issues, supporting affected areas and helping us make thousands of children aware of our planet.”
