Problems were created in Rhodes by the heavy rainfall which covered most of the island and which lasted for more than an hour in the majority of the island’s areas.

More specifically, according to “Rodiaki” the problems were located on main roads in the city of Rhodes, on the Rhodes-Lindos and Rhodes-Kamiros road network, but mainly on the road outside the airportwhich turned into a river as a result of which problems were created in the movement of drivers from that point.

Also, due to the downpour, some parts inside the “Diagoras” airport were flooded, with the officials placing buckets in order to save what they could.

Many outdoor tourism businesses and shops also faced problems due to the rain in Rhodes, Lindos, Faliraki, Ialyssos and other areas where the owners were almost forced to stop their operations until the rain stopped.
