It started early in the morning demolition parts of Nammos’ illegal constructions in Psarrou.

However, with document who sent it Ministry of Environment and Energy the Decentralized Administration of the Aegean as responsible for coastal demolitions, the two main buildings were exempted from demolition for the time being 520 m2 and 39 m2 in which the Environmental Inspectors had detected illegalities as they were not covered by the regularization declarations since the outline, dimensions, total surface area, internal layouts and views did not agree with what was declared.

We remind you that the team of Environmental Inspectors identified the following irregularities:

1) Construction in progress of a two-storey building with a surface area of 520 square meters within the protection zone of Psarrou beach and at a distance of less than 100 meters from the coastline with parts of the building located within the coastal and beach zone. It should be noted that the building was declared for “regularization” in the law on arbitrary (ie as erected … before 2011), however as the Inspectors observe … it is still being built (and apparently the declaration of affiliation does not identify with its current image). On the date of the inspection, the building was in the construction phase of plumbing and electrical installations

2) Construction in progress of a building with the use of a toilet (39 sqm) within the beach protection zone and at a distance of less than 100 meters from the coastline. And for this building there was a declaration of “regularization” (as erected before 2011). On the date of the inspection, the building was in the construction phase of plumbing and electrical installations.

3) Placing a 23.5 m2 container (without a permit, which is required regardless of whether they are a permanent structure) within the beach protection zone and at a distance of less than 100 meters from the beach.

4) Placement of four cylindrical tanks 2.2 meters high and 0.5-1.7 meters radius within the beach protection zone and at a distance of less than 100 meters from the beach.
