A father in Patras reported the attempted abduction of his minor son to the Police. According to information, the father went to the Police and reported that a man driving a motorcycle tried to grab his son while he was returning from school.

According to the complaint, everything happened at noon on Tuesday when the 9-year-old student, finishing school, did not want to follow his mother who had gone to pick him up from elementary school.

He asked her to go with his classmates, which she did. On Aretha Street, in Agyia, however, a bicycle stopped and its driver motioned to the young student to follow him.

The child left immediately and on his way home he immediately reported the incident to his father, who went to the police station and filed a complaint for attempted abduction of his child.

The police started the investigation and from security cameras in the area they identified the man and brought him in. He claimed that he was at the scene, but did not attempt to make any move towards the 9-year-old.

The bicyclist is expected to go to the prosecutor who will decide on his criminal treatment.
