Ford is a socially responsible company with a clear vision for the future and clear environmental goals for its products and overall industrial footprint worldwide. In the context of these stated challenges and commitments that put people and the environment as an immediate priority, Ford has embraced early on and with all its might the transformation of the automotive industry that puts electric mobility at the center, already having today a multi-collectible range of passenger cars and commercial EVs that are set to scale up in the coming years.

Responding globally to the growing demand for zero-emission vehicles, Ford is actively supporting its focus on electric mobility, setting a target to make available 600,000 EVs annually by the end of 2023. Of these, 270,000 will belong to the family of the popular Mustang Mach-E in the markets of North America, Europe and China, while deliveries of the F-150 Lightning in the markets of North America are expected to reach 150,000. At the same time, 150,000 Transit EVs will be available across the Atlantic and Europe, while 30,000 units will be sold in individual European markets for the all-new electric Explorer, whose production rate will increase significantly in 2024.

Especially for Europe, in addition to the new Explorer, Ford has explicitly committed to offering 10 purely electric models by 2024. In this context, the company is investing in the old continent and around the world more than 50 billion dollars from 2022 to 2026 to develop and produce bold and advanced electric vehicles and batteries, scaling global EV production to over 2,000,000 annually by 2026.

At the same time, Ford continues to take initiatives and make significant investments around the world focused on its stated goal of becoming a sustainable and carbon neutral company across its facilities, logistics and supplier footprint. until 2035.

A new era of electrification for Ford with the new Explorer

The new Explorer, an EV that paves the way for an all-new range of iconic electric vehicles inextricably linked to Ford’s American roots and designed for Europe, will play a leading role on the road to full electrification of the passenger vehicle range of the company in Europe by 2030.

Designed and built by Ford in Germany, the new all-electric Explorer offers a unique digital experience, helping drivers and passengers stay connected and relaxed. Ready for adventure travel and with around 450 liters of storage space in the five-seat configuration, Ford’s newest electric vehicle is ideal for exploring the city and beyond.

The futuristic exterior design of the new Explorer is combined with a state-of-the-art interior, with high-quality materials and features such as stylish sports seats and a sophisticated sound bar, which is more common in revolutionary concept cars than in family vehicles. All this is combined with the possibility of rapid charging from 10 – 80% in just about 25 minutes, access, by next year, to 500,000 charging points across Europe and two versions available with rear or all-wheel drive.

Ford is now offering customers the option to make a reservation in order to secure a priority line to be the first to order the new all-electric Explorer, with no financial cost or commitment. This can be done very easily at https://www.ford.gr/shop/reservations/electric-explorer/initial-page.
