Criminal prosecution for two felonies and one misdemeanor the prosecutor brought against him policeman where was arrested from the “incorruptible” of EL.AS. for involvement in a case of trafficking of irregular immigrantsthrough its “Macedonia” airport Thessaloniki.
More specifically, he is being prosecuted for criminal organization, facilitating the exit of third-country nationals from Greek territory (constantly and professionally) and inciting – offering to commit a crime (the first two felonies, the third misdemeanor). He was referred to apologize to the 6th regular investigator of Thessaloniki, from whom he received a deadline for the following week and until then he remains in custody.
His arrest was made yesterday at noon by his colleagues of the Internal Affairs Sub-Directorate of the Security Forces of Northern Greece who had been following him for months, investigating his alleged activity. As it became known, the accused police officer, with the rank of police officer B and trade union activity, serves at “Macedonia” airport.
As described in the case file, the accused instructed his colleague to allow two refugees from Syria (brothers and one of them a minor) to pass the boarding gate using fake passports, citizens of Estonia. Their destination was Brussels.
The “incorruptible” of EL.AS. allegedly have evidence linking the arrested policeman to other cases of facilitating the exit of illegal immigrants from the country, of course with the compensation, and in collaboration with unknown perpetrators, members of a ring.
