An alarm was sounded on Saturday morning at Heraklion airport due to the possible presence of a bomb on an aircraft that landed at “Nikos Kazantzakis” from a German airport.

According to the website creta24.gr, the alarm ended when a police pyrotechnician and a specially trained dog found the suspicious object and it was established that it was not an explosive device.

According to the report, the aircraft that arrived in Heraklion carrying mainly Germans parked normally in the position granted to it. The passengers all disembarked and left for their hotels or wherever else they have booked to stay on their vacation.

When the crew went in to clean the interior of the plane, they found a laptop computer – it is not known exactly where it was – and it was reportedly turned on.

The crew, following their instructions, informed the authorities of “Nikos Kazantzakis” and the police. The fireman who arrived saw that it was a laptop that the owner had forgotten while leaving. It is noted that so far the owner of the computer has not searched for it…
