Mourning for the journalist Nikos Hatzinikolaou, who lost his father.

Panagiotis Hatzinikolaou passed away at the age of 91.

He was born in Orestiada in 1932. He specialized in the profession of dentist.

In the elections of November 3, 1963 was elected Member of Parliament for Evros with the ERE of Konstantinos Karamanlis.

In the post-colonial period, he was a deputy of the New Republic for seven consecutive terms (elections 1974, 1977, 1981, 1985, 1989, 1990, 1993).

Panagiotis Hatzinikolaou served as Minister of Macedonia and Thrace from July 2, 1989 to October 12, 1989 and from August 8, 1991 to October 13, 1993.

From April 12, 1990 to August 8, 1991, he was Deputy Minister of Agriculture. On the eve of the elections of September 22, 1996, he decided to leave politics.

In his post, Nikos Hadjinikolaou wrote: “My beloved father, I say goodbye to you with great emotion! With great distress! I love you with all my heart! Thank you for everything!”.
