A fourth member of the criminal organization was arrested in the area of Halkidiki, which in October 2021, had committed a distinguished theft in a fur company in the area of Kastoria, according to a relevant announcement today.
This is a 38-year-old native, who was arrested yesterday morning by police officers of the Kastoria Security sub-directorate and the Kassandra department. An arrest warrant was issued against the deputy investigator of the Court of First Instance of Kastoria, for forming and joining a member of an operationally structured and perpetually criminal organization, which sought to commit distinguished thefts, as well as complicity in a distinguished theft. of which more than the amount of 120,000 euros has been removed.
The arrested person, as a member of the criminal organization, drove foreign perpetrators in the area of Kastoria before the theft, to gather information from the area and then participated in the transport of the removed furs to the hideout – base of Thessaloniki. During a search of the 38-year-old, they found in his possession and confiscated a quantity of cocaine 0.9 grams and a mobile phone, while during a search of his home in the area of Halkidiki, a quantity of raw cannabis (0.8 grams) was found, which confiscated.
The Kastoria Security sub-directorate continues the police investigations, for the full investigation of the case, while the arrested person will be taken to the prosecutor of the Court of First Instance of Kastoria.
It is recalled that in the context of the same case, three more members of the criminal organization were arrested in October and November last year.
