In revocation of the citizenship of a 39-year-old originally from Russia proceeded some twenty-four hours ago the Greek Ministry of the Interior as an investigation revealed that he had obtained Greek travel documents with forged supporting documents.
According to what SKAI reported in its lunchtime news bulletin, the order for the investigation was given by the National Intelligence Service on the one hand the case of the so-called Maria Tsalla, the Russian spy who lived in Pagrati under a fake Greek identity and on the other hand the investigation carried out by the Austria’s Cobra counter-terrorism agency at the 39-year-old’s apartment in Vienna.
During the investigation tracking devices detected with Austrian officials publicly stating that “we have identified a Russian spy”.
The 39-year-old first entered the “eye” of the Greek services at the end of 2021 when he visited A.T. Glyfadas to renew his daughter’s passport. Then the police found out that there was a discretionary surveillance measure registered against him by the Austrian authorities for reasons of national security.
The 39-year-old intends to appeal against the decision to revoke his citizenship.
