Priceless archaeological treasure with a number of relics of figurines, cult utensils, utilitarian objects and effigies were located in a forest area in Parnitha.
The relics were located this morning, taken to Security and examined by the Ephorate of Antiquities.
As ELAS states in a related announcement, the Department of Cultural Heritage and Antiquities of the Attica Security Directorate, following the utilization of information, collected ancient objects that were found in the morning hours of 6-15-2023 in a forest area of ​​Parnitha.
The ancient objects were transported by a group of police officers to the headquarters of the above service and examined by an archaeologist of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Western Attica, who opined that some of them fall under the protective provisions of the Antiquities Protection Law, while the rest need further investigation.
The antiquities that are included in the protection of the cultural heritage and constitute objects of great historical and archaeological value are the following:

part of a preserved clay spice jar of height -8.5- centimeters and
part of a fusillade-shaped incense container with a preserved height of -11.5- centimeters.

The antiquities will be delivered for safekeeping and final evaluation to the Archaeological Collection of Acharna.
