Tanker driver was arrested in Thessaloniki accused of fuel theft.

According to the Police, the accused driver was normally “loading” the fuel from the Kalochori refineries, but was delivering smaller quantities.

There was a related one before complaint to the Police for his alleged action, whereupon he was placed under surveillance. After a police operation carried out yesterday morning, it emerged that after refueling from the refinery, he deviated from his route, going to a repair shop in the area of ​​Neohorouda, with the aim of selling fuel that he had previously illegally removed.

As stated in a Police announcement, upon leaving the scene, the 50 year old did not stop when signaled by the police and finally stopped on Egnatia Odos.

From the further police investigation it emerged that he had gone five more times to the workshop above where he delivered to a 60-year-old man, for a fee of 50 euros, fuel that he had removed from the tank.
