Motorized protest march held at noon by distributors, on the occasion of the fatal accident with a victim of their colleague the day before yesterday on Tsimiski street, asking for safer working conditions, better pay and protection measures during the exercise of their profession.

The workers complained that in recent years there have been 55 fatal accidents at work with victims of distributors, noting that there are much more incidents with serious injuries, but also undeclared, as they emphasized, accidents on the roads during work.

At the time when the mobilization of the distributors was in progress, another work accident of their colleague became known in the center of the city, raising the number of recorded incidents to four since the last weekend in Thessaloniki, as reported by the vice president of SETEPE Kyriakos Tsiaousis.

The demands of the distributors are to deal with the intensification of work, which leads to the exhaustion of workers, the suspension of distributions in extreme weather conditions and the inclusion of the sector in the regime of Heavy and Unhealthy.
