Thessaloniki: Vandalized premises of the 6th High School of Nikopolis

by

An ELAS investigation is underway in Thessaloniki, following vandalism that took place at the 6th High School of Nikopolis, in the municipality of Pavlos Melas.

The issue was brought to light by the chairman of the School Committee for Secondary Education of the municipality of Pavlos Mela, Anestis Lazaridis, who speaking to GRTimes about the incident noted that “these are obviously minors who entered the canteen from the school yard and caused damage to canteen “.

He adds that both the police and the fire brigade were called for the incident, as inside the building the strangers who entered it, tried to light a fire from documents they found inside.

“At the moment, a police investigation is underway, which will take statements from both the school principal and the canteen manager, and we believe that we will soon have results,” notes Mr. Lazaridis, who, however, does not omit to add that “lately there is a more general climate that gives the impression to some that they can enter the school premises and do whatever they want.”
