A 19-year-old woman was attacked by stray dogs on Wednesday afternoon in Volos, specifically in the Anavros area, while she was walking with her friend.
According to what she reported to the newspaper “Thessalia”, on Wednesday afternoon she was walking with her friend in Ag. Konstantinos and the two girls were walking towards Anavros. At the height of the skate park they found 5-6 stray dogs lying on the spot.
As he emphasizes, “As long as we were in front of them, they were sitting quietly. When at some point I turned my back and my friend and I changed direction, I heard a bark and two dogs had approached me. One of the two bit me on the calf of one leg and tore the pants I was wearing off the other leg.”
The girl was in a lot of pain, while her friend who was next to her and fortunately was not attacked by the dogs, but also a lady who saw the attack, tried to calm her down. “The lady who saw the incident ran and poured water on me to clean the wound” notes the 19-year-old and continues: “We called my parents and explained to them what had happened to me. The lady was willing to take my friend and I to the Hospital. Luckily we were close enough. Immediately my parents also came there.”
At the Hospital, the doctors cleaned the young woman’s wound from the bite, bandaged her leg, while they referred her to a pharmacy, in order to get an anti-tetanus vaccine. The girl returned to her home, where she is recuperating while simultaneously receiving the necessary medication that has been administered to her.
