A 70-year-old man died on the road Karpenisiou – Agriniou in the area of the Municipality of Agrafon near the Tatarna bridge, under circumstances that are being examined by the relevant Police Department.
The unfortunate man had gone up to Karpenisi on Sunday, for a social obligation, and while his people were waiting for him in Agrinio, he did not appear, causing them to worry and start searches also notifying the police.
Unfortunately, at around 06:30 on Monday morning, their fears were confirmed, as they found the ICHE driving off-road and the same fallen next to a 5-meter cliff.
It is assumed that he lost control and went off the road and either in his attempt to get out of the vehicle he did not notice because of the darkness that he was next to a cliff and fell or he was thrown from the impact with the slope.
The police requested the assistance of the Fire Department in order to retrieve the body of the 70-year-old, while it will be sent for an autopsy, which is expected to shed more light on the causes of the fatal fall and the time of his death.
