The product “OSTELIFE FORTE” has not received a marketing authorization from the Agency
EOF warns that the product “OSTELIFE FORTE” which is marketed via the internet as a cream/ointment, is presented with therapeutic indications for joint diseases (heals inflammation in the joints, fights swelling and inflammation, eliminates pain, contributes to the regeneration of cartilage) without having a drug marketing license from the EOF.
It is pointed out that on the websites through which the above product is promoted, it is presented with “spectacular” results against joint diseases in violation of the current legislation, misleading the consumer who is asked to send a completed contact form or contact a call center, without knowing the full contact details of the company responsible for its circulation.
The product is notified in the European CPNP database for Cosmetic Products and its label does not mention therapeutic indications.
Because the promotion of the product (therapeutic indications) is not in line with the definition of a Cosmetic Product, nor with the Cosmetics legislation, the disposal in question is not legal, emphasizes the EOF.
Consumers are called to be vigilant, so that they do not proceed with the purchase and in the event that the specific product comes into their possession, not to use it and to inform the EOF immediately.
It is also emphasized that the purchase of EOF products from unreliable sources can seriously endanger the health of the consumer.
