The number plates that were stolen corresponded to another motorcycle that was stolen 26 years ago from Kolonos, Attica, while it was allegedly involved in a traffic accident that occurred later in Lamia
A separate case file of the Larisa Traffic Department is being examined by the Larisa Misdemeanor Prosecutor’s Office in order to criminally investigate the dimensions of a case, the tangle of which began to unravel when police officers from the Larisa Immediate Action Department stopped to check a motorcycle driver.
At 9:30 in the evening, on October 24, 2022 and at 10 Piraeus Street, in Larissa, the Immediate Action police found that the 46-year-old resident of Larissa found driving a “duck” without a license, driving license and insurance coverage.
What is interesting, however, is the investigation that followed by the Larissa Traffic Department, revealing, among other things, that the “duck” driven by the 46-year-old had been handed over for recycling, while the number plate it carried was genuine, but foreign, i.e. it corresponded to another motorbike.
Which was stolen… 26 years ago by Colono Attica, while he is said to have been involved in a traffic accident that occurred later in Lamia. Thus causing innumerable questions about how a motorcycle that was handed over for recycling is allegedly circulating with Athenian license plates in Larissa.
In more detail, the police check in Larissa took place on October 24, 2022, and the motorcycle that the 46-year-old was driving illegally had been handed over for recycling by its Larissa owner on November 12, 2019.
In fact, the former owner of the motorcycle has the documents (sale, etc.) of the withdrawal, with the result that the vehicle is permanently deleted from the relevant records, as it was withdrawn.
The motorcycle did not have the license plate that actually corresponded to it, but it did have a plate that referred to an Athens motorcycle. This Athenian on November 12, 1997 addressed the Police Department of Kolonos to report the theft of his vehicle.
In the same year, in 1997, the Athenian and owner of the stolen license plate was informed by EL.AS. that his stolen motorbike was involved in a traffic accident in the area of Lamia, without more information being known, except that the stolen motorbike after the traffic accident – it is most likely that it was not attributed to the Athenian owner.
One of the paradoxes of the case considered tthe fact that the retired motorcycle of Larisaios, in 2023, had a license plate that had been stolen in 1997.
Today and for the moment it is not known if it is the same license plate, but the license plate carried by the motorcycle driven by the 46-year-old had… plausible characteristics. Since it brought almost all the technical specifications provided for by law.
It should be noted that the motorcycle that had been withdrawn from circulation…. was confiscated after the check, while the 46-year-old who was found to be driving it without a license was arrested that night as part of the Auto-Fighting procedure with the Larissa Misdemeanor Prosecutor’s Office examining the Traffic Department’s case file.
