On November 10, Rula Pispirigou will face the second court that will judge her for the deaths of her two youngest children, Malena and her Iriswho according to the Court are the result of their mother’s criminal acts.

The 35-year-old, who is already on trial for the death of her first-born daughter Georgina for first-degree murder and attempted murder, will sit on the bench for, according to the case file, the suffocation death of her two youngest children who preceded Georgina’s.

According to the charge of serial intentional homicide that Pispirigou is asked to refute, the 35-year-old mother killed by initially suffocating the 3.6-year-old Malena, on April 13, 2019 in “Aglaia Kyriakou” where the child was hospitalized after successful treatment of lymphadenitis and after just six months old Iris, on March 21, 2021, in the room where she was sleeping.

The case file for the case of the two youngest children of the Daskalakis family is voluminous and contains statements and findings, including the crucial ones for the course of the case, the results of the investigation by medical examiners Nikos Karakoukis and Nikos Kalogrias who studied all the evidence for the two children. The two experienced scientists appointed by the Prosecutor’s Office, decide in their opinion that both Malena and the baby had died of suffocation.

Initially, coroner’s reports attributed the deaths to liver failure for Malena and sinus agenesis for Iris.

In the will that was issued for the two deaths, the judges fully adopted the proposal of the prosecutor Nikos Paschalis who, citing both the two medical examiners, but also piles of testimony, ruled that the two little girls were victims of their own mother.
