A meeting in order to find the “golden ratio” for the high ticket prices on the ships has at 4:00 p.m. the government echelon with the coastguards.

The head of the government echelon will be the Minister of State Akis Skertsos, while the coastguards will be represented by the president of the Association of Passenger Shipping Companies Spyros Paschalis.

According to information, the government will ask the ferry operators to find a way and reduce ticket prices for all the islands, but especially for the Cyclades. According to the same sources, a reduction in fees will be proposed that will even reach 30%.

Earlier, a meeting was held between government officials at the Maximos Palace, in order to determine the line that the government echelon will follow in the meeting with the coastguards. In addition to the three close associates of the prime minister, Ministers of State Akis Skertsos, Stavros Papastavrou and Yiannis Bratakos, the relevant ministers of Shipping and Islands Policy, Miltiadis Varvitsiotis and Development Kostas Skrekas, as well as deputy ministers and general secretaries related to the object.
