H new wing of the Pathology Clinic but also of its Psychiatric department Hospital of Chiosa project for which efforts of many years were needed, was delivered today Wednesday at noon to the society of Chios, in the presence of political and military authorities as well as the medical world of the island.

The Consecration ceremony was performed by Metropolitan Markos of Chios.

“Each health structure cures many miseries. It is one of the moments in our 4 years of office, that a health structure, with the help of the Technical Service of the Region and with the valuable contribution of the Vice-Regional Governor Pantelis Vroulis, we were able to inaugurate and hand it over to the people of Chios”. said the Regional Governor for his part Kostas Moutzouris.

In the history of the rescue of the Pathology Clinic project, the Mayor of Chios was mentioned in turn Stamatis Karmantzis, focusing on the period when he himself served as the local deputy regional governor, under the Regional Authority of Christianas Kalogirou. “This is a real feat that is useful for humans. The wish I give is that this space is empty of human pain”said Mr. Karmantzis.

“The work is not finished today. There is a new request of the reconstruction of buildings 1 and 2 of the Hospital. We are all in agreement that we will be helpful so that this project becomes a reality for the benefit of the citizens of Chios” said, among others, in his speech the village deputy governor Pantelis Vroulis, while the Director of Chios Hospital, Eleni Kantaraki, referred to the researchers M. Krakaris, A. Benetou and A. Melekos, from whom, as she said, she is waiting for the submission of the second study on the buildings 1 and 2 of the Hospital, which has been financed by the shipowner Loukas Ktistakis.
