The front of the fire that broke out yesterday in Dervenochoria is headed towards Panorama, Paleochori, Pournaria and Agia Sotira, as reported by the press representative of the Fire Brigade, fire chief Vassilis Vathrakogiannis, in an emergency briefing on the forest fires.

For this reason, a message was issued by 112 for her removal of the residents of the above settlements to Mandra.

The most important forest fire that concerns the largest number of ground and aerial means is the one that occurred yesterday in Dervenochoria as, as Mr. Vathrakogiannis said, at the moment the front is showing momentum.

The Traffic has stopped the traffic of vehicles on the Elefsina-Thebes national road from the junction of Mandra to Thebes in both directions. 250 firefighters with 8 groups of infantry departments and 75 vehicles are working on this fire, while the mobile operations center “Olympus” is in the area for their coordination.

From the air, 11 aircraft and 9 helicopters are operating, one of which is a coordinator.

With reference to the fire in the area of ​​Loutraki, Mr. Vathrakogiannis emphasized that the fire brigade is dealing with many active outbreaks there as well as many flare-ups in the wider area and added that the head of the fire brigade is constantly informing the relevant agencies about the progress of the fire.

Regarding the fire in the wider area of ​​Saronida, the press representative of the PS said that it is in recession.

Finally, he noted that the European civil protection mechanism accepted the request for assistance to our country and 4 aircraft, 2 from Italy and 2 from France, will be made available for aerial firefighting assistance.
