More specifically, according to EMY Saturday 22/1, will be affected by snowfall even plain areas initially of Macedonia and Thrace and gradually of Thessaly, eastern Sterea and Evia.
Towards night, snowfall will start throughout the Aegean and in places in the central and northern part will be dense.
In Macedonia and Thrace, local clouds with sleet or snow are forecast, the effects will gradually weaken and in most areas will stop.
The effects from the afternoon in the west will weaken. The winds will blow from north directions 5 to 7 and gradually in the Ionian locally 8 beauforts. In Crete and the Dodecanese until noon will blow west 5 to 7 beauforts.
A gradual drop in temperature is expected across the country. It is pointed out that from Monday to Wednesday the temperatures will be very low and their maximum values ​​will not exceed 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.
There will be frost on the mainland, which in the evening in the north will be strong in places.
In the west, almost clear weather with local clouds is forecast. Transient snowfalls will occur in Macedonia and Thrace. In the rest of the country clouds with rain or sleet, snowfall will occur in the mountains and semi-mountains as well as in lowland areas in the central, which in Evia and the Aegean will be at times dense.
The winds will blow north northwest 5 to 7 Beaufort, with a slight weakening from noon. At night in the north the north winds will intensify again.
The temperature will be kept at very low levels and the drop will be felt in the south as well. There will be frost on the mainland, which in the morning and evening in the northwest will be strong.
On Sunday 23/1/2022, a recession of the phenomena is expected on the mainland, while in Evia and throughout the Aegean, the heavy snowfalls will continue from time to time.
On Monday 24/1/2022 the snowfalls will intensify and will be locally dense initially in the central and northern Aegean, Evia, eastern Thessaly and eastern Sterea and gradually in the eastern Peloponnese and throughout the southern Aegean to Crete and Dodecanese. Occasional snowfalls will occur in Macedonia and Thrace.
On Tuesday 25/1/2022 the phenomena will show a recession in the northern country, but in the other areas the heavy snowfall will continue.
