As every year, this year as well, the summer timetable of the MMMs responsible for OASA, which will last until Sunday, September 3.

Travel by public transport in the summer months is reduced up to 36% compared to the rest of the year, given that the vast majority of residents make use of the summer vacation.

H reconfiguration of the timetable during the summer periodaccording to the Organization, takes into account the reduced traffic in the transport network, but also the increased demand in areas of holiday and tourist interest.

In order to meet the needs of residents and visitors – tourists of the city, OASA has significantly strengthened during this period, the itineraries on lines that serve the coastal axis and the airport “El. Venizelos”, Kifissos KTEL and the port of Piraeus.

Specifically, on airport lines X93, X95 and X96 which connect the AIA respectively with St. Intercity Buses of Kifissos, Syntagma and Piraeus, the transport project during the summer season, all weekdays without exception, is enhanced by up to 30% compared to the winter schedule.

Accordingly, on the lines that serve the coastal axis, such as 122 (Argyroupoli – Saronida), h 122B (Varkiza – Argyroupoli), h 171 (Varkiza – Argyroupoli), h 304 (Mint – Vravrona), h 305 (Mint – Agios Nikolaos), n 330 (Koropi – Agia Marina), n A’2 (Academy – Voula) and B 2 (St. Sygrou Fix – Agios Kosmas), the itineraries both on weekdays and on weekends are increased by up to 40% on a daily basis.

In the same context, OASA proceeded from the beginning of June to reopen the bus line X80 “Piraeus – Acropolis – Syntagma EXPRESS”.

The X80 bus line runs routes, connecting the PPA cruise ship terminal in Piraeus (Xaveri Beach and Miaouli Beach) with the Acropolis and the center of Piraeus with that of Athens, while on its way back to Piraeus, it passes through the “Cultural Center of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation”.

This particular line covers, in a circle, in approximately 60 minutes, a distance of 27 kilometers, that is, in half an hour, the passenger can reach the center of Athens from the port of Piraeus and vice versa.
