With a recommendation issued today Monday, the Dutch government warns its citizens of risks if they travel in Rhodes, Corfu and Evia, due to forest fires.

According to Reuters, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs classified the relevant warning for these three Greek islands from “yellow” to “green”.

A few hundred guests they currently remain in the more than 30 municipal/public and private spaces secured by the authorities for the temporary housing of citizens and visitors in Rhodes, as in consultation with the hoteliers of the island, the absorption of a large number of people was ensured in available rooms and secondarily in houses offered by volunteers.

According to government sources, in essence the decongestion of host countries and the transfer of tourists to hotel rooms on the one hand is equivalent to with the successful completion of the match that was given the previous two days to ensure the care of all the people who left their homes or accommodations due to the fire, on the other hand it is the first step towards the normalization of the operation of the hotel units and the tourist industry on the island.
