The father of the murdered man Michael Filopoulou, Panathinaikos fan who lost his life during a bloody fan fight in 2007, spoke about the murder of another Michalis, the 29-year-old AEK fan in New Philadelphia.

Andreas Filopoulosstated to ERT that upon learning of the death of the unfortunate Michalis Katsouris after the murderous attack by the hooligans of Dinamo Zagreb, started crying adding that his daughter fainted

“What can I say, nothing is going to change. With the other lad, Thessalonikios, Alkis the same and the same and the same. I have been a spectator of the same play for 20 years and nothing else,” said Mr. Filopoulos.

“In 2007, I shouted, ‘Put them in and they’ll be out in 5-10, at most 12 years… You’ll remind me again… We have police, we have laws, but they are not observed, how to do it”he added.

Comparing, as he says, the way in which the two Michalides met a tragic death, he emphasized that these are two similar cases:

“They leave Karaiskakis – in my case I tell you – they go all the way up Syngrou, go and kill themselves in Paiana. Yes, the other four countries are leaving us. And don’t tell me they didn’t know because I won’t believe it, just like they knew back then with Karaiskakis, exactly the same thing happened. The difference was the mileage: one was 2000 kilometers and the other three kilometers. That’s the difference. If you compare, you will see similarities. They are the same. It’s just that the others were Greeks and they are foreigners. Even worse”.

“I’m not optimistic at all… If I were optimistic I’d be the first, but I’m not, because they’re not trying to stop this gangrene while they can. I spoke with the previous minister, Mr. Avgenakis, and he promised me that he would stop it. As much as he stopped it, so did the new one and the previous one, and so on. I mean, this thing is already a mockery. In other words, 120 people are leaving now, the whole convoy is getting off, crossing the Albanian border and no one is stopping it.”
