With new testimonies of witnesses, the 5th regular investigator of Thessaloniki continues the investigation for the gang rape that she complained that the 24-year-old suffered at a New Year’s party, in a suite of a luxury hotel in Thessaloniki.
The complainant’s 17-year-old girlfriend and her employer’s friend will walk through the door of her office today. The first had accompanied the complainant to the party but then left and the second met her on New Year’s morning, after the alleged rape.
Meanwhile, the investigator is waiting for the results of the toxicology examinations of the 24-year-old that will shed light on the case and will judge the further judicial investigation. A urine sample has been sent and is being examined by a specialized laboratory in Switzerland for the detection of new synthetic psychotropic substances that are on the market and have not been recorded by Greek laboratories. The same lab is also expected to analyze and determine the level of alcohol in the girl’s body.
A conclusion based on the above results will be prepared by the Forensic Medicine Service of AUTh and will send it to the investigator.
