Eight people were arrested by the police in the coastal areas of Rio and western Achaia, who are accused of occupying a shared coastal area and beach.

Particularly, six people were arrested in the area of ​​Rio that operated shops of health interest because, according to the police, after checks carried out, it was found that they had placed table seats, recliners, poufs and umbrellas on a case-by-case basis, illegally occupying an area of ​​the beach, without having permission from the competent Authority.

Also, two more people were arrested in a coastal area of ​​western Achaia which operated a health care store and a canteen, respectively, because, after an inspection carried out by a joint unit of the Land Service of the police and the port authority, it was established that the former arrested had placed sunbeds with umbrellas on a public part of the beach without a permit, while the second arrested had placed a wooden canopy on the beach without the required permit.
