With the apologies of the remaining 35 hooligans, the apologies of the 105 arrested from the incidents that took place last Monday night, outside the AEK stadium, which tragically resulted in the death of the 29-year-old Union fan, are completed today Michalis Katsouriwho he was buried on Friday in an atmosphere of sorrow in Elefsina.

After their speeches on Friday (30 people) and Saturday (40 people), the first 70 arrestees were all sentenced to pre-trial detention and today the three investigators who have been recruited to complete the process more quickly, will receive the remaining 35 in groups to hear their plea and decide on the extension of their detention or not.

The Croats who have been remanded in custody in their apologies they argue that they have nothing to do with Katsouri’s murder and that they were at Opap Arena to watch Dinamo Zagreb practice.

Of the 70 who were sent to prison, 67 are Croats, 2 Greeks and 1 Albanian, a resident of Greece.

The one Greek who apologized yesterday, reportedly stated during his apology that he was in a tavern, near the stadium, and was eating with his partner.

“Suddenly – he allegedly added – we heard the commotion and I went to the stadium to see what was happening.” He stated that he did not participate in the incidents and was arrested because he was at the scene.

In the list people who have not been arrested

Meanwhile, cameras around the AEK stadium seem to have recorded additional suspects, who have so far eluded arrest, for the bloody incidents in the early hours of 8/8.

According to what the authorities report, in the list of suspects which has been drawn up in relation to the possible perpetrator of the murder of 29-year-old Michalis, there are people who are not included among the 105 arrested.

From the processing and study of the relevant material collected by the Police, the magnitude of the murderous rampage against the unfortunate Michalis can be seen since, as captured on the cameras, after the fatal stabbing, the 29-year-old, in his attempt to escape from the scene, accepts back blows with clubs.

Brother Michalis: “I want justice for my brother”

Yesterday, Saturday, the brother of the AEK fan went to Evelpidon to declare a performance in support of the category, filing a memorandum with investigators in which he requests “the complete clarification of the case and the attribution of responsibility to those who causally contributed to the creation of conditions that led to the brutal murder of my brother”.

The memorandum he filed

“Before Ms. President of the 25th Investigative Department of the Court of First Instance of Athens

Preamble

Excerpt from the poem “Shape of Absence” by Yannis Ritsos:

“Dead children never leave their homes,

They hang around there.

Dead children don’t go away. They stay at home and have a distinct preference for playing in the enclosed hallway and are growing every day

in our heart,

so that the pain under our ribs

it is no longer from deprivation,

but from the increase…

And if women sometimes scream in their sleep,

it’s that they have a stomach ache again…”

REMINDER-REQUEST

The witness in support of the charge for the criminal act of intentional homicide.

To carry out investigative acts

for the purpose of collecting and preserving the evidence as well as securing the traces of the crime and investigating the commission of other criminal acts.

Honorable Judges, after the criminal negligence, inaction, tolerance and incomprehension of the involved Greek police authorities – from the time most of the defendants entered Greek territory until the meeting they had with their accomplices in Greece with the common purpose of murderous attack (the provocateurs called it a date) on those who were on the evening of July 7, 2023 outside the “Agia Sophia” stadium in New Philadelphia – now a skeptic by choice – I leave and trust only You who represent the Greek Justice and the Greek State for the full clarification of the case and the attribution of responsibility to those who causally contributed to the creation of conditions that led to the brutal murder of my brother.

To this end, I tentatively submit the following requests-thoughts: {knowing that the natural judge already has them in his mind}..

• To collect and make available to the interrogation all the video material from the cameras of the border entry stations of the defendants as well as the toll stations they passed through until their arrival in Attica

• To collect the video material from the stations “PROASTIAKOS CORINTHOU”, “DUKISSIS PLAKENTIAS”, “PERISSOS”, “IRINI”, “PEFKAKIA”

• To retrieve all data (messages, photos, incoming and outgoing calls and video footage) from the electronic devices seized from the accused.

• To put at the disposal of the interrogation all the information related to the tragic event and the presence of the accused in Greece – conversations, reports and intercommunications that have been recorded in the telephone center of EL.AS.

• To investigate if accommodation accommodation in Greece had been rented and by whom.

• To call witnesses from the victims and the police for the full investigation of the circumstances of the murderous attack that took place by the defendants.

• To remove the telephone secrecy at least from the devices that have already been confiscated and are attributed to the accused, in order to establish whether the foreign accused were talking to Greek nationals and when the communication between them began to take place.

• To put at your disposal the conclusion of the sworn administrative examination which, as we hear, is already being carried out within the Hellenic Police.

After receiving copies of the case file and the defendants’ apologies I reserve all my legal rights.

I appoint the attorneys of Athens as attorneys-at-law and attorneys-at-law: a) Christos N. Mavromatis of Nikolaou (A.M. D.S.A. 23925) and b) Stavros Georgopoulos tou Evangelos (A.M. D.S.A. 24214) ) whom I authorize, on my behalf and on my behalf, acting jointly or separately, to handle this matter before Mr. President of the 25th Regular Investigative Department of the Court of First Instance of Athens, to receive copies of the investigative file and to generally proceed with any necessary procedural action in support of my rights arising from this statement of representation in support of the charge.
