The child had been classified by Interpol as a ‘missing person’
In the arrest of a foreigner who was found to be prosecuted with a Red Notice of International Wanted by Interpol of the United Kingdom for the crimes of “Crime against the family/kidnapping and crimes against children”, officers from the Passport Control Department of the Alexandroupoli Police Department proceeded to the Kipon Evros border crossing point .
Specifically, as stated in today’s police announcement, the perpetrator went to the Kipi Border Crossing Point with a privately used passenger car, in which her minor child was also riding, with the aim of exiting our country.
During the check, however, it was found that the above-mentioned International Wanted Red Notice has been issued against her, while in addition, there is an entry for her minor child by the United Kingdom authorities in the Interpol database, marked “missing person”.
The arrested woman will be taken to the Prosecutor of Appeals of Thrace, while her minor child was transferred to the hospital of Alexandroupoli following the relevant order of the Deputy Prosecutor Plemmeliodiki of Alexandroupoli.
