Fatal traffic accident occurred late Sunday evening on Athens – Souniou Avenue, on the beach, with a 40-year-old victim who was moving in an electric wheelchair while being followed by his two dogs.

The traffic accident occurred shortly after 10:30 in the evening, when the driver of the vehicle, who is reportedly 87 years old, was running at high speed, dragging the man along with the two dogs.

Speaking to zoosos.gr, Lambrini Andreadou, a member of the Voula Philanthropic Group, reported that she saw the man moving with his dogs in the Glyfada area a few days ago, while she published the video and highlighted on social media

“Soon and under different circumstances I intended to write a tribute about the man in a wheelchair with his 2 Spitz dogs… He was seen on Wednesday in Glyfada and I received the video taken by a friend.

I wanted to show that man’s will and love for his four-legged friends has no excuses and limits and has difficulties. Although the conditions were not even conducive for him to move, not only did he do it, but he also took his 2 dogs with him, when those of us who do not have a disability are tired of taking our dogs for a walk, since we are tired of getting up from the sofa leaving the remote control and mobile phone.

This man is no longer alive… An old man, at the height of Ribas, crashed into him tonight with his IX, killing the 40-year-old man in a wheelchair and his 2 dogs. I don’t know his details, he didn’t need to, but crippled with 2 dogs on the streets he was the only one I had seen in all these years. I wish it was a lie.”
