Due to the strong winds, the forest fire in Psachna Evia spreads very quickly, which initially broke out in an area of dry grass.
According to evima, the flames threaten the first houses in Psachna, while an evacuation order was given through 112.

According to the Fire Department, the fire is burning an agroforestry area, and strong fire brigade forces and volunteers are working at the scene.
The mayor of Dirfyon Messapia Giorgos Psathas said a while ago to evima.gr, “I am shocked, the place is burning, I have nothing else to say, the picture is shocking, the fire is close to the houses”.
62 firefighters with 20 vehicles, 3 groups of pedestrian units are operating at the scene, while 3 aircraft and 1 helicopter provide assistance from the air.
