The 29-year-old, who is fighting for his life at the Venizelio Hospital, was shot in the head while driving his car on August 2 in Mesara
The gate of the Heraklion Police Headquarters was passed at 12:14 on Wednesday afternoon by the 22-year-old from Mesara who shot and wounded the 29-year-old student in the head while he was driving his car, in the early hours of Thursday, August 3, at the 1st km of Moira – Tympakio national road.
The 22-year-old was accompanied by a friend and taken to the offices of the Heraklion Security Sub-Directorate. At the same time, his relatives have also gathered outside the Palace. However, the information states that the weapon with which he fired has not yet been given to the authorities.
It is recalled that it was issued against the 22-year-old arrest warrant for attempted homicide against the 29-year-old.
It should be noted that three weeks have passed since he is now out of the ICU and being treated at the neurosurgery clinic of the Venizeli Hospital, he is still fighting his battle. As he told Cretalive, the director of neurosurgery, Mr. Dimitris Koutentakis, has full cognitive capacity. He answers the questions that the doctors and his people ask him to test his perception, his memory, etc.
And despite the fact that he is in broadcast aphasia (sufferers can understand what is said to them but cannot express themselves in a completely intelligible way), he tries and uses some words for now like “good morning”, “I’m fine”…
