The controls were carried out in the offices of football team supporters’ associations in Attica and Thessaloniki
Surveys of football fan liaison offices in Attica and Thessaloniki, carried out by the Sub-Directorate for Combating Violence in the Sports Venues of the Attica Security Directorate and the Thessaloniki Security Directorate were conducted, on August 22 and 23, 2023,
Audits focused onn Attica, in Agios Dimitrios, Ilioupoli, Kypseli, Exarchia and Ilion. In Thessaloniki, in Harilaou and Asvestochori.
Specifically, in Thessaloniki, checks were carried out in 3 football team liaison offices, in one of which 3 metal elongated objects 90 to 110 cm long (pencils) were found and confiscated, 22 wooden elongated objects 70 to 100 cm long (pencils), as well as 4 pepper sprayers.
The president of the association and owner of the entry keys he was arrested for violation of the sports law and the arms law, while the confiscated items will be sent for laboratory examination.
In Attica, a total of 6 inspections were carried out.
For all cases, the legality of the operation of the above premises is checked.
