Ten days in Greece, Boris Johnson
The former Prime Minister of England Boris Johnson preferred southern Evia for the second summer in a row for his family vacation.
He once again chose the well-known car rental company active in Evia and Attica, for his and his family’s personal car.
This year he preferred a car with 7 seats, ideal for his large family which recently acquired a new member.
The car rental at Athens airport took place at the VIP gate and the former prime minister was served by the shop in the airport area.
During his 10-day vacation, which included accommodation in an ultra-luxurious villa at Nimborio of the municipality of Karystos, tours were carried out in the wider area of South Evia.
It is no coincidence that he chose Evia as a family destination for one more summer, excited by his previous experience as well as the warm welcome he received from the local residents.
A well-known enthusiast and with a deep knowledge of the ancient Greek culture had declared in a speech in the past:
“The ancient Greeks taught us philosophy, poetry, history, tragedy, comedy, the Olympic Games, etc. Even the Roman Empire was based on ancient Greece!”
Boris Johnson in every public appearance in southern Evia attracts a crowd of local residents who want to welcome him and take a picture with him.
He, kind and cheerful, never denies such a thing in any moment of his daily life.
On his return to the Athens airport, he met at the port of Rafina with the manager of the car rental company to receive a commemorative gift of a luxurious illustrated edition entitled “Dancing in real Life” which includes works from all periods of the leading Greek painter Yannis Tsarouhis.
Warm and approachable but also sad to be back from his vacation, he thanked everyone present and headed to the airport, escorted by a police force.
