Another three cases of trafficking of illegal immigrants took place on Saturday in areas of Evros and Rhodope, while four foreign traffickers were arrested.
In particular, yesterday morning in Egnatia Street, Kipon – Alexandroupoli, police officers of the Border Guard Department of Feron arrested a smuggler, because they spotted him driving a car in which he illegally transported four illegal immigrants into the country.
In the second case, at the same time and on the same road, police officers of the Border Guard Department arrested two traffickers, because they were spotted getting into a car and illegally transporting five illegal immigrants into the interior.
Finally, a few hours later, on Egnatia Street, Komotini – Xanthi, police officers from the Crime Prevention and Suppression Team of the Komotini Security Department, arrested the fourth trafficker, because they spotted him driving a car in which he illegally transported seven other illegals into the country Immigrants.
The vehicles, as well as mobile phones, were confiscated. The arrested will be taken to the competent prosecutors, while the preliminary investigation for the three cases is being carried out by the Alexandroupoli Security Sub-Directorate and the Border Guard Departments of Tycheros Alexandroupoli and Yasmos Rodopi.
