The torrential rain caused problems in the road network of the Region of Thessaly and for this reason the police stopped the traffic of vehicles in Larissa and Magnesia
Serious problems in the road network caused by torrential rain in Thessaly, as a result of which the police stopped traffic on the streets of Larissa and Magnesia.
According to the General Regional Police Directorate of Thessaly, it is announced that, due to the adverse weather conditions, the situation on the road network in the Region of Thessaly, per Police Directorate, is as follows:
LARISA POLICE HEADQUARTERS
Vehicular traffic has been temporarily suspended at the following points:
- in the e.o. Larisa Agia at the height from Dimitra to Gerakari,
- in the e.o. Velikas Agiokambou
- on the rise of Health Street from Karditsis to Larissa University General Hospital.
MAGNESIA POLICE HEADQUARTERS
Vehicular traffic has been temporarily suspended at the following points:
- on the Ring Road of Volos and in both traffic streams from the height of the Phytokos junction to the Melissatikos junction,
- on the Volou – Zagora National Highway (lower branch) and in both traffic streams from its intersection with Stadiou Street up to Agria &
- on Larisis Street in the traffic flow towards Larissa from the intersection with Athens Street to Neapoleos Street.
- On the Volos Ring Road, the movement of vehicles towards Larissa is carried out with a diversion at the Phytokos intersection from Phytokos – Doxopoulos – El. Venizelou – Volos Regional Road at the Melissatiko junction.
- The movement of vehicles in the remaining cases takes place from adjacent streets.
