Places specializing in erotic sweets, in the shape of penises and vulvas, are one of the recent trends in the city of São Paulo. At least four addresses of this type have appeared in São Paulo in recent years — one of them, Pulses Bakery, however, closed its doors in April.
These pastry shops invest in eroticism in crepes and waffles that refer to the sexual organs and gain names such as piroffles and crepepeka. It also appears in the decoration, full of phrases and provocative drawings on the walls and jokes on the menu.
Erotic sweets from Assanhadxs, on Rua Augusta –
Most, coincidentally or not, are concentrated in the area of Rua Augusta, which was a stronghold of prostitution between the 1970s and 1990s. The erotic food trend emerged in Europe, in countries like France, Spain and Portugal, and here , has representatives in cities such as Belo Horizonte and Rio de Janeiro.

A pioneer in the city of São Paulo, the pastry shop emerged in 2021 as a food truck on Calçadão Urbanoide, on Rua Augusta, and today has a second store in Vila Madalena. The specialty is crepes, called crepipi and crepepeka. It is prepared in sweet versions, filled with chocolate, dulce de leche or Nutella, and savory versions, with chicken filling, pepperoni or mozzarella. Finally, the delicacy gains a bit of gozonesia, as the house’s garlic mayonnaise is called, or chocogozo, white chocolate. Prices range from R$ 25 to R$ 39.50.

Inaugurated this year, the bar offers sweet and savory delicacies in the shape of genitals, made with cheese bread or waffle dough, and erotic drinks, decorated, for example, with ice in the shape of a penis. The space has colorful walls decorated with neon phrases such as “was it good for you?” and other instagrammable corners for the public to pose for photos with delicacies in their hands or mouths. A lineup of DJs rocks the place.

The Censorship
Created in Portugal by the Austrian Rob Kramer and the Brazilian Juliana Lopes, the brand has branches in Rome, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro and in the Rua Augusta region. The house is called La Putaria, but was renamed after the unit in Rio was barred by a rule by the Ministry of Justice and Public Security. The piroffles and xoxoffles (R$25 to R$33) are made with waffle dough and have various fillings and toppings, such as banana and dulce de leche. There are also savory and vegan versions.
