The authorities responsible for Pineos are constantly evaluating the data, which in the last few hours has received huge amounts of water, as a result of which we already have various flooding phenomena, but also the evacuation of three villages of the Municipality of Larissai, Mandra, Amygdalea and Koutsochero.

In Larissa, until 1:30 a.m. on Friday morning, we had limited flooding in the workers’ residences of Giannoulis and Agios Thomas, as the river level is now above the height of the Hatjihalar ditch, as a result of which rains return through the wells and flood roads .

Problems were also presented along the Larissa ring road, with the traffic police proceeding to block a section of it.

In the last meeting that took place at the Larissa Fire Service in the early hours of Friday, in the presence of the regional governor Mr. Kostas Agorastos and the mayor Mr. Apostolos Kalogiannis, all the data were analyzed, as well as the scenarios for this difficult night.

According to information, beyond the anti-flood zones, there is moderate optimism on the horizon for the outcome of the situation, while in this direction, new interventions are being made at this time where it is deemed necessary.
