The amounts provided for covering the first needs after the sweeping passage of the divine month
The joint ministerial decision published in the Government Gazette states the amounts, the procedure and the supporting documents provided for the compensation of the damaged household appliances in the flooded areas.
The immediate compensation can reach 6,600 euros, to cover the basic needs that have arisen after the disaster.
What the joint ministerial decision states:
Who are the beneficiaries – Reinforcement
Beneficiaries-recipients of the aid are natural persons who use real estate as a primary or secondary residence, which has been affected by the floods and have full ownership or usufruct or are tenants, with the exception of tenants of short-term leases, or the residence has been granted to them free of charge, with the exception of those for which there is no lease statement.
The amount of aid is determined as follows:
a) if the residence has suffered heavy damage that makes it dangerous for use (“RED”) in the amount of 600 euros, per residence, for dealing with basic living needs and in the amount of 6,000 euros, per residence, for the replacement of household appliances, amounting to a total of six thousand six hundred 6,600 euros,
b) if the residence has suffered serious damage that makes it temporarily unfit for use (“YELLOW”) in the amount of 600 euros, per residence, to deal with basic living needs, in the amount of 6,000 euros, per residence, for the replacement of household appliances , amounting to a total of 6,600 euros
c) if the building of the residence has suffered minor damage and:
c) the household equipment has suffered major damage, according to the records of the GDAEFK, in the amount of six hundred (600) euros, per residence, for dealing with basic living needs and in the amount of six thousand (6,000) euros, per residence, for the treatment of simple repair work and/or the replacement of household goods, amounting to a total of six thousand six hundred (6,600) euros,
cb) the household equipment has suffered moderate damage, according to the records of the GDAEFK, in the amount of six hundred (600) euros, per residence, for dealing with basic living needs and in the amount of four thousand (4,000) euros, per residence, for dealing with simple repair work and/or the replacement of household goods, totaling four thousand six hundred (4,600) euros,
cc) the household equipment has suffered minor damages, according to the records of the GDAEFK, in the amount of six hundred (600) euros, per residence, for dealing with basic living needs and in the amount of two thousand (2,000) euros, per residence, for dealing with simple repair work and/or the replacement of household goods, totaling two thousand six hundred (2,600) euros,
In the case of a secondary residence, the amounts for dealing with basic living needs and for dealing with simple repair work and/or the replacement of household goods are reduced by 50% and the aid is granted for up to one secondary residence per beneficiary.
As defined by the Decision, the estimates of damage to household goods refer to the building that covers living needs and do not include independent buildings (outbuildings, basements, warehouses, common areas, boiler rooms, etc.), while they refer to all household goods (such as equipment kitchen, sanitary facilities, furniture, clothing).
In the case of more than one owner with full ownership or more than one usufructuary, the aid amount is apportioned according to the percentage of full ownership or usufruct of each.
In case of more than one lessee, the aid is granted to the lessee mentioned first in the Lease Declaration submitted for the relevant lease.
The case of a free concession for which a Lease Declaration has been submitted is treated in the same way.
To determine the amount of the aid, an automated preliminary check is carried out by cross-checking the data filled in on the same digital platform of the Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE) for first aid aid against state aid for housing assistance, as submitted for each property.
In the case where the amount of the application is greater than the amount resulting from the re-inspection or autopsy report or the records of the GDAEFK, then the amount corresponding to the severity of the damage, as it appears from the re-inspection or autopsy report, is paid as aid, or the registration data of GDAEFK.
The process
Those interested submit an application for the grant of aid through the digital platform of AADE on the web portal “arogi. gov.gr”, which constitutes at the same time a responsible declaration, as to the truth of its content.
In the case of more than one full owner or more than one beneficiary, the application is submitted by each.
Especially for the households of long-term leased properties or properties under free concession, for which a Lease Declaration has been submitted, the grant is made based on the application submitted by the owner-lessor for this property, subject to a relevant obligation.
In the case of more than one lessee or concessionaire, the application is submitted by the lessor for the lessee or concessionaire mentioned first in the Lease Declaration submitted for the relevant lease or free concession.
The lessee or concessionaire is automatically informed in order to accept the relevant application and consent to the processing and transmission of the necessary data.
Applications are due by October 9, 2023.
