President of EODY was undertaken by the Professor of Hygiene and Epidemiology at the University of Thessaly, Christos Hatzichristodoulou.

Mr. Hatzichristodoulou assumed duties after the resignation of Theoklis Zaoutis.

The decision on the placement of Mr. Hatzichristodoulou published in the gazette, as well as the composition of the board of directors of EODY.

The composition of the new Board of Directors of EODYafter the removal of Theoklis Zaoutis, is as follows:

  • Christakis Hatzichristodoulou Professor of Hygiene and Epidemiology – Department of Medicine, School of Health Sciences of the University of Thessaly, as temporary President of the Board of Directors.
  • Stelios Orphanos Professor of Intensive Care – Medical School of the Greek Academy of Sciences, First Intensive Care Clinic of the Greek Academy of Sciences – “THE EVANGELISM – POLYCLINIC” as Managing Director at the National Public Health Organization with Lemonia Skouras as his deputy, Professor of Medical Biopathology – Microbiology at the AUTH.
  • Maria Pirunaki, Director of the National Health Service of Pathology – Infectious Diseases at the “IPPOKRATEIO” Medical Center, as a regular member, with her deputy Antonis Vasilogiannakopoulos, an Infectious Disease Specialist from the “ERRIKOS DYNAN HOSPITAL” Pathology Clinic
  • Christos Papatheodorou, Professor of Information Systems, Libraries and Archives – EKPA, as a regular member, with Antonis Michalakis as his deputy, Researcher 1st Entomologist Benakeio Plant Production Institute.
  • Dimitris Paraskevis, Professor of Epidemiology – Preventive Medicine – EKPA, as a regular member, with Vassiliki Papaevangelou, Professor of Pediatrics – Infectious Diseases, School of Medicine – EKPA as his deputy.
  • Georgia Kourlambas, Assistant Professor of Research Methodology – Evidence-Based Nursing Practice, Department of Nursing – University of Peloponnese, as a regular member, with Dimitris Hatzigeorgiou as her deputy, Pathologist-Infectious Diseases, Pterarch e.a.
  • Panagiota Kokolesi, President of the Panhellenic Association of Employees at EODY, as a regular member – representative of the employees, with Dimitris Stavridis, Vice President of the Association, as her deputy.

In the event of the President’s incapacity, regular member Georgia Kourlambas will act as President of the Board of Directors.

The term of office of the members of the Board of Directors is three years, excluding the following cases:

– Of the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Managing Director, whose term of office depends on the completion of the selection process for the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Managing Director, as provided for in the provisions of articles 20-22 of Law 4735/2020 (A’ 197) and

– the representatives of the employees, whose term expires on 10-11-2025, given the above (C3) nominations for the appointment of the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Association and the foreseen three-year term of the said Board, based on the statute.
