The Three-member Misdemeanor Court of Thessaloniki found the psychiatrist guilty of domestic threat
A psychiatrist was sentenced to 18 months in prison, suspended for 3 years, for chasing his estranged wife and their two minor children, who were in another car, with his car.
The incident took place in April 2016 and luckily there were no injuries.
According to the case file, the chase started from Melissochori and ended in Agios Pavlos, following a course of several kilometersin which the defendant violated red signalsperforming dangerous maneuvers.
The Three-member Misdemeanor Court of Thessaloniki found the psychiatrist guilty of domestic threat and released him – due to doubts – for disrupting transport security. At first instance, he was sentenced to 3 years in prison, suspended.
He did not appear in court as he reportedly now lives abroad. while he was represented by an attorney.
“I was afraid he was going to kidnap my children and hurt me,” his ex-wife, who was also charged with disturbing the safety of transportation and acquitted in a previous court, said, among other things, in her testimony.
