480 BC….. The Battle of Salamis: (according to one version it took place on September 22. They are followed by the KKE with 5.6%, Synaspsimos with 5.1% and DIKKI with 4.4%. Political Spring is left out of Parliament with 2.9%. The president of ND, Miltiadis Evert, resigns.
2000….Victoras Mitrou wins the silver medal at the Sydney Olympic Games in the 77 kg category of weightlifting lifting 165 kg in deadlift, 165 in deadlift and 367.5 in total.
