Information and instructions for the preparation and conduct of the municipal and regional elections of October 8 and 15, 2023 are given in a 52-page circular signed by Deputy Minister of the Interior Theodoros Livanios.

The circular describes all the stages of the electoral process, the responsibilities and the actions of all contributors, while also mentioning the statutory deadlines, within which the latter must act.

The content of the circular is divided into three parts:

In the first part, information is provided on the dates of the elections and the start of the pre-election period, as well as on issues related to the electoral rolls, the rights to vote and be elected, the declaration and declaration of candidacies.

The second part describes the responsibilities and actions of state agencies and Local Government Organizations, immediately after the start of the pre-election period until the day before voting.

The third part refers to the issues that need to be addressed on the day of voting, while analyzing the way of voting and the process of sorting the votes and transmitting the results of the elections.
