The intervention of the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Staikouras, was caused by the “disabled” behavior of a bus driver towards a disabled passenger. Mr. Staikouras announced in his post on Instagram that on Monday he will meet with the wheelchair user in order to discuss the accessibility problems in public transport.

Yesterday, a sad incident took place during the attempt to board a fellow citizen with disabilities on a bus of Athens Transport. We were immediately informed and on Monday we will welcome Christos Meletis to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport to discuss with him the issues of accessibility to public transport which have been set, from the beginning, in the priorities of the political leadership of the Ministry, while related actions have already been launched.
