three dead among them Msi a toddler aged 3 yearsas well as two injured, is the tragic account of a traffic accident, which occurred late last night at the 166th kilometer of the Patras-Athens National Road, near the entrance to the Achaean capital.

In particular, according to the police, the passenger car driven by a 66-year-old man and carrying a three-year-old child and a 61-year-old woman was moving in the traffic flow towards Patras. But, for reasons still unknown, the 66-year-old’s car veered off its course and crashed into a light pole.

Then, the 66-year-old’s car went into the opposite direction traffic and initially collided with a second passenger car, which was driven by a 53-year-old woman, and then collided with a third passenger car also driven by a 51-year-old woman.

Immediately after the accident, seven firefighters arrived at the scene, who freed the drivers of the three cars, the three-year-old child and the 61-year-old woman, who were in the same car as the 66-year-old.

Afterwards, EKAV ambulances that had already arrived at the scene of the accident took the five injured to the Patras hospital, where despite the efforts of the doctors, the 66-year-old, the three-year-old child and the 53-year-old driver of one of the cars succumbed to their injuries.

Also, the 61-year-old woman who was riding in the 66-year-old’s car and the 51-year-old driver of the third car are hospitalized with injuries.

The Patras Traffic Department is conducting a preliminary investigation into the causes of the accident.
