An incredible incident was noted on Saturday during the event in the context of the gastronomy festival in the port of Heraklion, where hundreds of Heraklionites had gathered to watch it.

According to information, a middle-aged man, with 95% disability due to blindness -according to his words-, he saw the pocket full of euros, of an elderly man who was with him in the same area.

Citizens who were at the scene saw before their eyes the middle-aged man with severe vision problems putting his hand in the pocket of the 74-year-old man.

Unfortunately for the first one there were also several port guards in the area as part of the measures for the smooth running of the event, who also saw the… long-armed middle-aged man.

In fact, the information states that the old man did not perceive it, but when he was informed after the arrest of the perpetrator, he did not want – according to the same information sources – to file a lawsuit. Officials of the KLI filed a case against the perpetrator.

Regarding the amount he grabbed from the elderly man’s pocket, the information states that it was around 500 euros, which was found by the officers of the LS and given to their owner.
